The Biltmore Cabaret is looking for a General Manager to lead our amazing team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about live music and enjoys the ever-changing landscape of Vancouver’s nightlife.

The General Manager drives business through weekly programming, team leadership, creative input, building relationships with external partners, and managing the financial and operational success of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead teams in providing amazing guest experiences by executing best practices and working on ways to
exceed service standards
- Identify staffing requirements and oversee the hiring, training and coaching of new and existing staff
- Use strategic planning to determine sales and experience objectives of property
- Analyze sales and spending to determine opportunities which increase the bottom line
- Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained for the needs of the business
- Develop and foster positive working relationships with suppliers, clients and potential partners
- Work directly with marketing teams, develop and execute marketing plans to increase sales, traffic and guest
experiences
- Curation and execution of branded weekly programming
- Identify and secure DJs, ‘club promoters’ and other entertainment
- Work on technical advance of events with promoter and Tech Lead
- Manage “Hold” Calendar for Venue
- Ensure guest concerns are addressed promptly in a fair and honest way
- Other duties, as required

- Strong analytical skills with an ability to balance multiple tasks
- Professional communications skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
