This is a dynamic role that incorporates key roles such as reception, reservations, gift shop sales, concierge, and host. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for ensuring that guests are taken care of and any individual needs or requests are addressed in a timely, professional manner. This is a key position that requires a high level of customer service experience within the hospitality and tourism industry. The Front Desk Agent is the main point of contact between guests and the establishment. The front desk is responsible for generating rooming lists and coordinating check outs with up to 40 guests at a time.

Preferred Skills and Core Competencies:
• Greet guests and create a warm and welcoming environment.
• Make reservations via phone and email, and perform check-ins and check-outs.
• Handle all guest requests and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly with clients, management, suppliers and co-workers using a variety of communication channels.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel, Word, & Outlook.
• Professional demeanor when answering phones, and directing calls.
• Excellent time management skills, able to multi-task with a strict attention to detail.
• Able to thrive in a diverse environment with a key focus on problem solving and guest satisfaction.
• Friendly and customer oriented personality with a genuine desire to help and please others.
• Able to adapt quickly and respond to ever changing demands in a positive manner while under pressure.
• Maintain organization, stocking, and overall cleanliness of the front desk and gift shop.
• Experience with a cash register and POS system and can learn and operate with ease and accuracy.
• Generate housekeeping reports and record all check outs and vacancies.
• Passion for working with people and the outdoors is an asset.
Requirements:
• Proficient in English both spoken and written.
• German as a second language is an asset.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous hotel experience is an asset.
