The Prestige Prince Rupert is located in Historic downtown Prince Rupert, BC. The hotel is focused on providing superior customer service and a quality experience for our guests. The Prestige Prince Rupert Hotel is accepting applications for a part-time Room Attendant to join our organization. This position is part of the housekeeping team.

Duties Include:
• Clean and stock guest rooms, ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness.
• Use a concise eye for detail, ensuring all attributes of a room have been considered.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Multi-task and prioritize daily requirements including last minute requests.
• Work with minimal supervision and work well with others.
• Meet Hotel cleaning standards to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Willingness to resolve guest concerns promptly, courteously and effectively.

Job Requirements:
• A positive team player attitude and a strong willingness to learn
• Previous experience as a room attendant an asset
• Must be physically fit, able to lift and carry loads exceeding 25lbs and push/pull equipment and furniture weighing up to 100lbs.
• Able to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines, including the thorough cleaning of a minimum of 14 rooms as specified by management. Rooms should be completed in half an hour (there are instances where this may not be the case due to the state of the room).
• Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests.
• Excellent communication skills; understand both oral and written instructions in English.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
